Essay #2 – Patriot in Pennsylvania
_____If you are like me, an unorthodox, lively, and a true maverick, you would have been a patriot in colonial Pennsylvania. You would have been rioting and rebelling against British rule using unconventional gorilla war tactics, this is why…
_____In recent discussions of patriotism in Pennsylvania, a controversial issue has been
whether the American people should have remained loyal to their country or be a patriot and become and independent country as we are today. On the one hand, some argue that colonial Pennsylvanians should have remained loyalists for the ‘chearful’ protection of Britain, as stated in the, ‘Resolves of the Pennsylvania Assembly on the Stamp Act.’ From this perspective, it is deceived as a thoughtful consideration to America. In the words of one of this view’s main proponents, “the Assemblies of this Province have, from Time to Time, whenever Requisitions have been made by his Majesty, for carrying on military Operations, for the Defence of America, most chearfully and liberally contributed their full Proportion of Men and Money for those Services,” also stated in the ‘Resolves of the Pennsylvania Assembly on the Stamp Act.’ On the other hand, however, others argue that, America needed patriotism for becoming independent. According to this view, America needs ‘her’ own laws because it isn’t part of Britain, it has different circumstances and situations that require separate laws.
_____Now, if I were a patriot in colonial Pennsylvania, my own view would be that America needs its’ own central government and independence. Though I concede that Britain was very protective of America, I still maintain that America needs its’ independence. For example, in the US History book, it states on page __ “Chief among them was the claim that American were not represented in parliament and so each colonial government had the sole right to govern and tax it’s now people.” I mention this to prove America was a side project maybe not to be taken as serious as it should have been. Although some might object that Britain was ignoring them, I reply that they weren’t getting the true help they needed. The issue is important because without the desire of these patriots like you and I would have been, we wouldn’t have an America with freedom.

yo dude, yeah whats with your textr format, its hella hard to follow like where do your spacific arguments start, i cant find your thesis and you only haver one sorce for your argument.
yeah so u need a strong argument for your thesis and change your format lol and you need more length and more subject matter. in your one point that you made from the book you didnt summerize the quote or even touch upon it.
haha you also had 3 transition in one sentence "On the other hand, however, others argue that," that my friend is hellllllla overkill you only need one dude. sorry for the crituqes but we are being graded on our in depth peer reveiw
First off I would suggest putting this in a different format, I'm not really sure if you just didn't have time or if you wanted it this way but I would change it into paragraph form.
Another thing is, in the first sentence where you say; If you are like me... that is present tense and needs to be changed to; If you would have been like me... or something similar to that.
I think that you need to add a few more concrete quotes and put them in the proper citation form!!!
I like the quotes that you have, they make your ideas on the being a patriot in Pennsylvania stand out.
Good start, keep up the good work!!!
